Paul studied Physiotherapy in Otago University and qualified in 1999. Since graduating he has worked both in hospitals and private practices in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
In 2009 he completed his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and gained Post-graduate qualifications in Western Acupuncture.
Paul has worked with a number of elite athletes and sporting teams over the years and enjoys adapting his skills to the broad spectrum of clients he sees. He has a special interest in spinal injuries, shoulder and knee injuries.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys as well as running, mountain biking and weight training.
Neurological Rehabilitation Physiotherapist
Kate completed her Physiotherapy degree at Otago University in 1999 and postgraduate studies in neurorehabilitation at AUT in 2007 . Kate has worked in rehabilitation in New Zealand and the United Kingdom both in hospitals and community based services. Kate has worked with people with a wide range of neurological conditions and has particular interest in the rehabilitation of stroke, head injury and spinal cord injury. Kate is also able to provide vestibular rehabilitation and treat BPPV.
Kate is kept busy raising their two young sons and enjoys running, going to the gym and getting into the outdoors with her family.
Kellie Harrison ** On maternity leave until December 2019 **
Kellie completed her degree in Physiotherapy at Otago University in 2009. She has worked both in hospitals and private practices in New Zealand and Australia.
Kellie has a special interest in exercise prescription and self –management strategies for managing musculoskeletal conditions and achieving optimal functional results.
In her spare time Kellie enjoys running, cycling and tramping with her husband.
Jo graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Otago in 2016. She has previously worked in the Wellington region for the past two years but is now enjoying her working life on the Kapiti Coast. Jo has experience working with younger clients as a school physiotherapist as well as sports physiotherapist for a rugby club. Jo really loves helping her local community as well as working within a tight-knit team. In her spare time, Jo enjoys going to the gym, watching sport, DIY work around her new home and spending time with friends and family.
Ffion graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Otago in 2017. She has a particular interest in sports physiotherapy and has experience as a sports medic both in Dunedin and Wellington. She is really enjoying the experience of working in Physio Works and contributing to such a great team. Outside of work Ffion is actively involved in sport and keeps herself fit through a combination of gym work, cycling and playing football.
Paula van Soest
Paula is one of our friendly faces who will greet you when arriving at Physio Works.
Prior to working with us Paula has worked in a number of administration positions as well as working with special needs children for 10 years in a local primary school.
Outside of work Paula loves to spend time with her family and enjoys the outdoors.
Jennifer has recently moved to the Kapiti Coast and is enjoying her new life in Waikanae. Prior to moving here, Jennifer worked for 15 years with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra selling and marketing their concerts. When not working, Jennifer loves spending time in her new garden, attending concerts and walking her dog with the "the 10 o'clockers".
